Invasive Species Management

To maintain desirable land characteristics and land uses, it is imperative to manage our lands...  It is often necessary to focus land management activities on the removal of invasive species.  The United States Department of Agriculture defines invasive species as, "non-native (or alien) to the ecosystem under consideration and whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health."  However, it is widely accepted that native species which overpopulate a habitat may be  considered invasive as well. Invasive species can be either plants or animals.

Equilibrium specializes in vegetative invasive species management.
